Mendes proves he's more than just a Cuellar sop for Rangers

I am no Rangers sympathiser (up to now...) but my only
surprise is based on the fact that Pedro Mendes was only
considered a bit player by such a "managerial icon" as Harry
Redknapp! Everytime P. Mendes played for Portsmouth and
previously Spurs, he was always one of the best. This proves
the point that english football (and managers) still have a
long way to go to appreciate quality v. brute force. P. Mendes
has been called up into his national team (...and Portugal
has not lost to England in a competitive match... for over 40
years!!!). Enough said. - Joe Tooga
